The Government has recently decided that Norway will join the EU’s External Borders Fund. The purpose of the fund is to ensure uniform and adequate control of the external borders of the Schengen area and efficient management of migration flows. Read more

The fees for short-stay visas to all Schengen states, including Norway, have been increased to EUR 60 with effect from 1 January 2007. They are to be paid in a convertible currency or in the national currency on the basis of the official exchange rate at the time. Read more
