Norway and UK commit GBP 100 million to Congo rainforest fund

25/09/2008 :: Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and Prime Minister Gordon Brown have launched a major new initiative to preserve the rainforest in the Congo Basin. The two Prime Ministers each committed GBP 50 million to the Congo Basin Forest Fund. +

04/07/2008 :: On 28 May, Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre met representatives of the four other nations bordering the Arctic Ocean to discuss challenges in the High North, including those resulting from climate change.
